The 13th edition of the Ooredoo Doha Marathon took place on January 17, 2025. The largest in its history, the event brought together over 15,000 runners. This race holds the Gold Label status from World Athletics.

The starting time was 5:00 a.m. due to the city’s warm climate. With both start and finish at Hotel Park, the marathon route along Doha’s picturesque Corniche provided a scenic and safe experience for runners and spectators.

The event included marathon, half marathon, 10 km, and 5 km distances.

Ethiopia’s Ethlemahu Sintayehu delivered an outstanding performance in the women’s category, clocking 2:21:43 (unofficial) in Qatar’s capital. The former steeplechaser achieved a personal best, surpassing her previous fastest time of 2:25:36 set in Abu Dhabi two years ago.

The podium was completed by Muluhabt Tsega and Zinah Senbeta with times of 2:22:21 and 2:22:34, respectively.
