This Sunday, April 13, 2025, the 44th edition of the NN Marathon Rotterdam will take place.
Approximately 17,000 runners from both Spain and abroad experience what it’s like to reach the finish line on the famous Coolsingel. The weekend is a blend of sport and folklore festival. No other marathon in the Netherlands can match the atmosphere of Rotterdam, with more than 950,000 enthusiastic visitors along the route.

The iconic Erasmus Bridge, the famous Coolsingel, and the magical Kralingen. These are moments that participants will never forget. The awarding of the IAAF Elite Seal underlines the international recognition of the high quality of the NN Marathon Rotterdam.
The NN Marathon Rotterdam course is known as one of the fastest in the world. No fewer than three world records have been broken in the past. The Dutch record is held by Abdi Nageeye, who crossed the finish line on the heroic Coolsingel in 2022 with a time of 2:04:56.

For the 44th edition, the NN Marathon Rotterdam course has been modified, making the fastest Dutch marathon even faster. The turning circuit in Slinge, where participants previously made a 180-degree turn, has been removed from the course. The rest of the course is identical to the previous edition.
