The 2026 Berlin Half Marathon will take place on March 29, 2026
As is now common in some SuperHalfs series events, registration for the GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON will be allocated via a lottery system due to the significant increase in interest.
This race is often described as a sightseeing tour through the German capital. At the same time, its flat course offers great opportunities for runners aiming to improve their times.
A large increase in interest is expected for the 45th anniversary of the GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON. Thanks to the lottery system, all interested participants have an equal chance of securing a spot during the registration period.
The lottery registration is open from April 10 to May 22, 2025.
How can I register for the Berlin Half Marathon?
Runners will only be able to officially register once they have successfully secured a slot through the lottery. It’s important to note that entries are non-transferable and non-refundable.
All lottery participants will automatically receive the result via email on June 2, 2025, allowing them to start planning their training well before the event.
As an individual runner, you will need a personal email address to register. This is where your lottery results will be sent. Please note: multiple entries are not allowed — if you register as an individual, you may not also register as part of a team.
The registration fee will be processed only after a spot has been successfully allocated to the runner.

Qualification times
The GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON is organized according to the regulations of the German Athletics Federation (DLV) and World Athletics (WA), under the supervision of the Berlin Athletics Association (BLV). All runners born in 2009 or earlier are eligible to participate.
Who can participate?
Runners:
Cut-off time: 3:15 h
Participants who exceed the cut-off time of 3 hours and 15 minutes (measured from the start) must leave the official course and either continue on the sidewalk or board the official sweep bus provided by the organization.
Only participants who record all split times and cross the finish line within the time limit will receive an official result, finisher’s medal, refreshments, massage, and — if applicable — a finisher’s poncho at the finish area.
There will be a time checkpoint at kilometer 18 for participants who exceed the limit at that point.
