Men’s results

Kenyan Mark Kiptoo won the 2025 Zurich Marathon in 2:09:16, dominating the race and taking the overall victory at the age of 48. Although his time does not beat the course record (2:06:38, Tadesse Abraham in 2022), it is a remarkable mark for his age group M45-49.

His compatriots Joel Kipsang Kositany (2:11:25) and the Eritrean Amaniel Habtom (2:11:27) accompanied him on the podium, in a very close finish for second place.

The best Swiss finisher was Raphael Josef, seventh with 2:21:10, followed by Phil Besson (8th) and Janis Gächter (9th), showing a solid local performance.
