RESULTS 2025: Course record at the 2025 Amsterdam Marathon
The TCS Amsterdam Marathon to be held on October 19, 2025, is a World Athletics Platinum Label road race. For years, it has had one of the fastest courses in the world. Amsterdam ranks fourth among the quickest marathon cities.
It features the full marathon distance, the half marathon, or the 8K, and finishes at the legendary Olympic Stadium.
On Sunday, October 20, a record number of 22,500 runners will take the start in the classic distance.
Where to watch the Amsterdam Marathon?
In 2024, the race will be broadcast live worldwide on all continents of the world. English commentary will be provided by Chris Dennis and Richard Nerurkar. In Spain, Latin America, and the United States, i.e., outside the Netherlands, the international broadcast can be seen live in 190 countries via:
- Worldwide via Discovery+ (WBD/HBO MAX).
- Spain and Europe via Eurosport.
- France and DOM TOM via L’Equipe 24.
- Africa via SuperSport.
- India and Southeast Asia via Eurosport Asia.
In the Netherlands, the marathon can be followed via:
- Live streaming on NOS, nos.nl/sport, and NOS-app between 8.50 a.m. and 11.40 a.m.
- Live broadcast on tcsamsterdammarathon.nl between 8.50 a.m. and 11.40 a.m.
- Live broadcast on Eurosport 2 between 8.50 a.m. and 11.30 a.m.

Results and Leaderboard
15,000 marathoners will start at the Olympic Stadium, while the remaining 7,500 participants will start directly outside the stadium on the Stadionweg. After one kilometer, the two streams of participants merge, and all runners follow the same route from the Vondelpark. The finish line is the same for all, at the Olympic Stadium.

Edition 2025: 50 years of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon
The first edition of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon took place in 1975, so Sunday, October 19, 2025, will mark the 50th anniversary of the event. In the same year, the city of Amsterdam celebrates its 750th anniversary, and the TCS Amsterdam Marathon will be one of the three official anniversary events, along with SAIL and the Kwaku Festival. Registration for the 50th edition begins on Sunday, October 27, 2024.
