The 2024 Chicago Marathon will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 7:00 a.m. local time. The marathon can be viewed live via LiveStream on NBCchicago.com.

Telemundo Chicago will broadcast the event live in Spanish and English from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on TelemundoChicago.com, the Telemundo Chicago mobile app, and Roku.

Expert analysts Ed Eyestone, Carrie Tollefson, and Amanda McGrory will join Marion Brooks and LeilaRahimi on NBC 5 Chicago, with Juan Luis Barrios, Luis Posso, and Saul Mendoza joining Raul Delgado andHéctor Lozano on Telemundo Chicago. Covering the leaders and reporting along the course will be two of the greatest American distance runners of all-time Deena Kastor and Galen Rupp. A talented array of NBC and Telemundo reporters will join the broadcast at the start, finish, and along the course.

It can also be followed in Spain through RVTEPlay. International viewers can watch the race via a variety of global broadcast partners, including Eurosport, Eurosport India, SMG China, FloSports, ESPN Brazil and ESPN Latin America.

Some of the elite runners from around the world – and another 50,000 runners will be on the starting line in downtown Chicago, a number that would break last year’s record of 47,000.

What will the exit be like?

The race begins in waves at 7:20 a.m. in Grant Park and follows a route through 29 neighborhoods. It is a flat and fast course, considered one of the top six marathons in the world.

Wheelchair Marathon Start (men): 7:20 a.m.
Start of Wheelchair Marathon (women): 7:21 a.m.
Manual Bike Marathon Start: 7:23 a.m.
Start of Wave 1 of the Marathon (red): 7:30 a.m.
Start of second Marathon Wave 2 (blue): 8 a.m.
Start of Marathon Wave 3 (orange): 8:35 a.m.
Spectator access to Grant Park begins at 9:30 a.m.
