On the first Sunday in November, New York City is at its best when fans from all five boroughs and around the world cheer on the TCS New York City Marathon runners.
This year’s New York City Marathon will occur on Sunday, November 2, 2025. This race closes this year’s World Marathon Majors series.
The start time will be 08:00 AM (US Eastern Time) with the start of the wheelchair athletes. The women’s elite will start at 8:35AM and the men’s elite will start at 9:05AM New York Time.
The popular runners will start in waves according to the following schedules:
- 9:10 a.m. Wave 1
- 9:45 a.m. Wave 2
- 10:20 a.m. Wave 3
- 10:55 a.m. Wave 4
- 11:30 a.m. Wave 5

Which broadcasts will be in Spanish?

Pre- and post-race coverage will also be streamed live in the U.S. and available in Spanish.
New this year, a live Spanish-language telecast of the TCS New York City Marathon will be broadcast live on ESPN3 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. ET. The Spanish-language telecast will also air from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the sports network.
In the United States: ESPN2 and WatchESPN on computers, tablets, smartphones, Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360, and Xbox.
For the rest of the world: On numerous cable providers worldwide, including DirecTV channels 624, 626, and 1626, and on abc7ny.com.
